Session Two: Much information to process. It was challenging to pay attention to Louis and - at the same time - sign up for Diigo. There seemed to be some ambiguity regarding the issue of how we would know if we signed up successfully ... and... if we were able to successfully acquire the "Educator Account."
During today's session I made note of Louis style of facilitating. He kept things moving along, but did respond to each question. I can see the importance of sticking with a timed schedule. I wonder if - because we are adult learners - it is easy to stick with a schedule than it would be with grammar school, middle school, or high school students who are likely to have a lot more questions.
It is definitely interesting to see someone teach online. I agree that it does require a different teaching style because you have to work through your requirements in the specific time allotted. In past posts and discussions, you weren't sure how or when you would want to incorporate some of these ideas into your teaching. Have you thought about this further?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I understand what you are saying about liking short posts. However, my understanding of a blog is that it really gives a reader an idea of your thoughts and reflections about the topic being discussed. I wonder if you might have some deeper reflections on some of these programs after you use them a little more.
